College of Education Ambassadors
It is the mission of the College of Education Ambassadors to provide leadership through service, foster communication with the community and UF campus, disseminate knowledge about teaching and learning, and help demonstrate the high ideals of the College of Education. The College of Education Ambassadors were established in 1999 to assist the dean with special events and to act as liaisons with the community, UF and the College of Education. Since the inception of the program, Ambassadors have served as tour guides, information officers, and event aides. More information is available on the COE Ambassador brochure (pdf, 8.82 mb).
Selection
- Most Ambassadors personally apply for positions within the organization.
However, some students are nominated by a faculty member. - Each prospective Ambassador completes an application (this application requires a PDF reader). This form, along with three letters of recommendation and a transcript, are submitted for consideration.
- A team of students and advisors meets to review applications and give suggestions as to the best-qualified persons to be interviewed.
- Selected applicants then begin the interview process.
