The Lastinger Center In Action
In Collier County, educators requested that the University of Florida develop innovative and customized programs to meet the needs of their educational leaders. The Lastinger Center responded by co-developing, along with the Department of Educational Administration and Policy and the School of Teaching and Learning, several customized job-embedded graduate programs to develop the leadership of classroom teachers, principals, administrators, and executive leaders. Today, more than 80 educators in Collier County are enrolled in the Master Teacher Program and the Leadership in Educational Administration Doctoral Program – both of which are offered on site to cohorts of educational leaders.
