Center for Community Education

The mission of the Center for Community Education (CCE) is to promote the continued development of community education and community schools by providing research, materials development, and technical assistance at the local, state, national, and international levels. CCE’s mission is aligned with the advancement of the COE’s mission by collaborating with others to solve educational and human problems in a diverse global community. CCE uses a collaborative approach in planning, providing, and evaluating educational programs and services to emphasize the significant role that community based education and full-service schools can play in helping to close the achievement gap among children who live in very distressed communities.
