Dr. Michael D’Andrea Lecture and Town Hall Meeting

On Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 Dr. Michael D’Andrea will visit the University of Florida to lecture on the “History of Multiculturalism in Counseling and Psychology” and lead a town hall meeting on “Continuing the National Conversation on Race, Justice and Peace.”
12:00pm-1:00pm: Dr. D’Andrea brown-bag lunch and lecture on the “History of Multiculturalism in Counseling and Psychology.” Location: Norman Hall Terrace Room.
5:30-7:30pm: Dr. D’Andrea will lead a town hall meeting on “Continuing the National Conversation on Race, Justice and Peace,” as part of a national research project in which members of the UF faculty have participated in New York, NY, New Orleans, LA, Philadelphia, PA, Ellensburg, WA, and Honolulu, HI. Its purpose is to follow up on recommendations by attendees at the 2001 United Nations World Conference Against Racism, Zenophobia and Related Intolerance that took place in Durban, South Africa. Location: Norman Hall Terrace Room.
