Dr. Lynda Hayes
Dr. Lynda Hayes serves as Director of Research & Outreach for P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School, a publicly-funded K-12 laboratory school at the University of Florida. Dr. Hayes answers inquiries and coordinates requests for Let’s Talk Science! workshops and classroom observations.
Dr. Rose Pringle
Dr. Rose Pringle is a science educator in the College of Education at the University of Florida. Dr. Pringle provides ongoing assistance to P.K. Yonge faculty and has consulted with hundreds of teachers in developing an inquiry-based, standards-driven approach to teaching science. Foregrounding her research on science teacher education and effective practice, she uses her many years of teaching secondary science and leading elementary science education courses to inform her work with schools. Dr. Pringle continues to collaborate with Dr. Hayes to develop and provide LeTaS! professional development for interested schools.
Lynn Bishop
Ms. Lynn Bishop is the principal of Lake Butler Elementary School in Union County. Ms. Bishop has provided endless support and encouragement to her elementary faculty as they work to enhance their science teaching. Ms. Bishop welcomes inquiries about the impact of Let’s Talk Science! in elementary classrooms and the support received through Let’s Talk Science!
Jasmine Ulmer
Ms. Jasmine Ulmer served as the elementary science coach at Lake Butler Elementary School during the 2007-2008 school year. As the elementary science coach she provided daily, classroom-focused support to the 55 elementary teachers in her school as they implemented what they learned through Let’s Talk Science! Ms. Ulmer welcomes inquiries about the importance of her role in supporting instructional reform and the LeTaS! professional development model.
Michelle Klosterman
Ms. Michelle Klosterman coordinated many of the details in developing and implementing Let’s Talk Science! Ms. Klosterman is a doctoral candidate in science education in the College of Education at the University of Florida and a National Board Certified Secondary Science Teacher. As a leader in helping teachers learn how to use journals in science, Ms. Klosterman has devoted much of her graduate work to defining critical aspects of journal use in science learning.
