Science Inquiry Showcase

Elementary teachers from P.K. Yonge and Lake Butler have been busy learning and talking about science! Working in teams, teachers developed hands-on, grade-level specific, standards-driven, inquiry-based science units in physical, chemical, life, environmental, earth, and space sciences. In March 2008, LeTaS! teachers hosted a showcase to share what they had been learning and doing with interested teachers and principals from other Florida schools.

During the Science Inquiry Showcase, LeTaS! teacher teams led hands-on sessions to help showcase participants learn more about science, inquiry, and science journaling! LeTaS! teachers shared lessons, units, and instructional strategies they developed and implemented in their own classrooms.
