Florida's Personnel Development Partnerships support Florida's efforts to ensure that there are adequate numbers of highly qualified personnel to meet the educational needs of infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities.
The purpose of the Personnel Development Partnership is to increase the capacity of Florida's school districts to recruit, prepare, and retain sufficient numbers of highly qualfied personnel to provide effective instructional and related services to children with disabilities (ages three through 21) and their families.
The UF/PDP serves the following school districts in northeast Florida:
Alachua, Citrus, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion
UF/PDP Activities
- Tuition support for teachers seeking endorsements in the areas of autism and pre-k disabilities and/or the ITDS certificate.
- Learning Together Through Mentoring program to provide support to personnel serving children with disabilities
- Family as Faculty program which offers families of children with disabilities the opportunity to influence preservice and inservice teachers
