Advanced Studies in Bilingual/ESOL Education

Students may also apply for advanced studies in bilingual/ESOL education. Students seeking admission to the graduate program must meet the requirements of the School of Teaching & Learning and of the University of Florida Graduate School. Students must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and a score of at least 1000 on the GRE. Students in the teacher education program must complete the education minor in order to be eligible to apply for a five-year professional certificate in Florida.

Students enrolled in the graduate program develop their program of study in consultations with their advisor to individually tailor the program to their interests and needs. The following six courses form the foundation of the graduate program (Master's, Specialist, and Doctoral program).
