What do you do with an Educational Technology Degree?

At the University of Florida students can study one of four tracks in the educational technology field that will provide them with a thorough understanding of the ways that education is evolving to embrace electronic media. These four tracks include:

Information/Media Specialists

  1. Students in this track desire to become certified media specialists in a pre K-12 setting.

Instructional Design

  1. Students in this track desire to become instructional developers in various settings including government, business, health, industry, and post-secondary environments.

Production

  1. Students in this track are interested in issues related to cognition and human performance and in human-technology-human dialog. These students strive to combine cutting edge technology, educational theories, design theories and current research to design and create electronic learning environments.

Teaching and Teacher Education

  1. Students in this track are interested in ways technology can advance student learning in K-12 and/or post-secondary environments. Students in this track desire to become K-12 teachers, K-12 school technology administrators, K-12 computer resource teachers or teacher educators.
