THE NATIONAL MATH AND SCIENCE INITIATIVE
The National Math & Science Initiative, Inc. (NMSI) is an innovative, non-profit organization dedicated to expanding programs that have a proven impact on math and science.

THE HELIOS EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Helios Education Foundation is a non-profit organization with the vision to ensure that every individual with the desire to pursue postsecondary education has the opportunity as well as the personal, financial and academic support they need to succeed.

EXXON MOBIL FOUNDATION
Exxon Mobil is a company that recognizes the essential role that proficiency in math and science plays in the energy business and in facilitating human progress more generally.

UTEACH
UTeach is a program that started at The University of Texas at Austin in 1997 as a new way to prepare secondary science, math and computer science teachers. UTeach has proven to be so effective that it is now being replicated at universities across the United States.

UTeach INSTITUTE
The UTeach Institute was created to provide direction and leadership to expand and replicate the UTeach mathematics, science, and computer science teacher preparation program at universities across the nation. The primary goal of replicating UTeach is to increase the quantity and quality of mathematics, science, and computer science teachers in schools. UTeach is a highly innovative and successful teacher preparation program, which has doubled the number of mathematics and science majors being certified at The University of Texas at Austin.

Frances C. and William P. Smallwood Foundation
Step 1 and Step 2 students were offered paid Smallwood education internships at the Florida Museum of Natural History. The summaries describe their experiences during the Summer 2009 (files are PDF):

AT&T                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  AT&T is the largest communications holding company in the world, continually engaging in initiative that enrich communities.  AT&T provided funds to support the highly regarded UTeach program to train math and science teachers at the University of Florida and four other universities: the University of California at Berkeley, the University of California at Irvine, University of Northern Arizona and Florida State University.
