Working Together to Resolve Conflict materials

[Working Together to Resolve Conflict] was extremely helpful and easy to use. The students enjoyed the discussions and the exercises. I think that the peer mediation will improve the climate of our school. I also purchased your program for teaching children to get along in class [Tools for Getting Along] and will use these lessons next year with my class. Thank you for making these materials available…

I have used your materials to train peer mediators for next year's 8th
grade class. The students enjoyed the activities, and the format is perfect.
Sequencing is so important when students are learning new material, and
the sequence of this program practically guided them through the process.
I think you have a great product. The students feel very confident that
they will be successful in their peer mediation.

Tools for Getting Along materials

I thought it [Tools for Getting Along] was an excellent curriculum for the students at Lake Forest. The students really responded well to the lessons and overhead visuals. Many students learned how to handle situations with other students in a positive and constructive way. The mini-plays gave students an interactive way to experience how decicisions are a choice and only they have the power to make the right choices in their lives.

Lake Forest Elementary

Tools For Getting Along is an easy program to administer. The steps are developed and repeated until the students are comfortable with them and can recite them from memory. The students are excited about doing the activities and enjoy the role playing. The students now know what their thought process should be like.... if we can get them to 'carry' it into their own lives, we may have a group of children who think before they act.

Tools for Getting Along workshop

Just wanted to say THANKS for a great workshop … yesterday. Since I am a consultative teacher and work with many 4th and 5th grade teachers, I was glad that the curriculum [Tools for Getting Along] is so self-explanatory - I plan to share it with teachers who ask me about classroom/individual behavior management issues.

I led three workshops this summer with elementary and middle school students and your book was very practical and we developed some our activities based on your findings. In addition to your book, I will be working more in the middle school this year and have requested the school purchase, Take CHARGE!
