Research Biography

My research and writing interests include family resilience and strengths in family therapy, multicultural issues in family therapy, relationship violence, and qualitative research methodology, particularly grounded theory and narrative analysis. I have recently begun researching the clinical use of family narratives in therapy, and the impact of family narratives on the identity development of internationally adopted children.
