Tom Dana is Professor of Education and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Education at the University of Florida. Prior to joining the dean’s office in 2008, he held the post of director (chair) of the School of Teaching and Learning for five years. In 2010, he led the college through a successful program approval and accreditation review by the Florida Department of Education and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. Dana’s academic interests are in science education, particularly the study of quality educator professional development programs and the development of reform-oriented, subject-specific pedagogical knowledge and practice.
