Blue Ribbon Designation<\/h2>\n

As a part of our efforts to continuously improve College of Education online courses and align all of our courses with the UF Markers of Excellence and internationally recognized Quality Matters standards, the college piloted a new program this summer. The program was designed by the members of the\u00a0<\/span>FPC Technology and Distance Education committee<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and staff in our\u00a0<\/span>E-Learning, Technology, and Communications (ETC) department<\/a>. Faculty participants in this program are eligible to have one of their courses named as a\u00a0UF College of Education\u00a0Blue\u00a0Ribbon Course\u00a0after they have improved the course with direct guidance of our ETC office instructional designers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participating faculty\u00a0met\u00a0with a focused team from ETC to share their area(s) of focused improvements vis a vis the UF\/QM Standards and to\u00a0plan their collaborative\u00a0work process and timeline. This meeting included instructional designers, videographers,\u00a0and other appropriate course development staff as needed. Most course improvements were\u00a0completed prior\u00a0to the fall term.<\/span><\/p>\n

The culminating activity for this project\u00a0included a\u00a0presentation by the\u00a0faculty and our\u00a0instructional design team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our\u00a0First\u00a0Annual\u00a0College\u00a0of\u00a0Education\u00a0Faculty\u00a0Online\u00a0Teaching\u00a0Symposium took place on November 7, 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n
