UF Counselor Education Program Named FCA Advocate of the Year

The University of Florida Counselor Education Program was named the 2017 Florida Counseling Association (FCA) Advocate of the Year at the FCA annual convention. The program was honored for their advocacy work that has included advocating for counseling on Capitol Hill, engaging in a letter writing campaign to state legislators, conducting research to examine the effect of advocacy engagement on students advocacy and social justice competencies, and other social justice and advocacy activities.
