Dr. Hannah Bayne is coming from the Northern Virginia area where she has held faculty positions at Virginia Tech and Loyola University Maryland. She is a licensed counselor in Virginia and works with mostly teenage and adult populations. Dr. Bayne is interested in research and teaching related to empathy development, counseling effectiveness, multicultural issues in counselor and counselor training, integrating spirituality and religion in counseling, and affirmative counseling of LGBTQ populations including managing values conflicts. She has moved to Gainesville with her husband, two boys (three years and three months), and antisocial cat. She enjoys being outdoors and is currently trying to figure out how to survive the humidity!​
