Doctoral Student Receives Alec Courtelis Award

Alena Prikhidko

Alena Prikhidko was named a recipient of the 2017 Alec Courtelis Award. The award is given annually to three outstanding international graduate students at the University of Florida. Mrs. Prikhidko is an international student from Russia. She has worked diligently throughout the doctoral program to develop as a scholar, teacher, supervisor, leader, and advocate.

Doctoral Student Receives the 2017 ACC Graduate Student Award

Sunni Lutton

Sunni Lutton received the 2017 Association for Creativity in Counseling Graduate Student Award. She was recognized for her integration of creativity within her work as a counselor, including the use of sandtray with clients, the facilitation of a group for clients entitled “Creative Expressions”, and other creative interventions. She has also lead staff development workshops on integrating creativity in counseling.

Dr. Ana Puig Honored with Mentoring Leadership Award

Dr. Ana Puig received the 2016 Compadrazgo/Comadrazga (Godparent) Mentoring Leadership Award. This award recognizes an individual of the Latina/o Network of the Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development who is active in the mentorship of Latina/o counseling students or professionals, demonstrates commitment to multiculturalism and social justice, and has demonstrated leadership (or leadership potential) within the Latina/o Network.
