The AI for Health Institute is hosting its inaugural Frontier Scholar visit on February 16–17, featuring Christopher Tignanelli of the University of Minnesota, a national leader in AI-enabled clinical decision support systems who has implemented and evaluated these tools in practice. Although centered on acute care surgery, the sessions will explore broadly relevant themes such as translating AI from development to deployment, evaluating real-world performance, and building interdisciplinary research programs at the intersection of artificial intelligence and health. Three sessions will be offered:
- Seminar: “From Algorithms to Bedside” (Monday, February 16, 11 AM)
- Workshop: Clinical AI Chalk Talks (Tuesday, February 17, 12 PM)
