The William T. Grant Foundation Institutional Challenge Grant supports research that improves the lives of young people, with a particular focus on reducing inequality in youth outcomes. Its Institutional Challenge Grant funds university-based institutes, centers, and schools to build sustained research–practice partnerships with public agencies or nonprofit organizations. These partnerships are designed to be long-term and mutually beneficial, supporting the development of joint research agendas that address disparities in academic, social, behavioral, and economic outcomes for youth ages 5–25, particularly across dimensions such as race, ethnicity, economic status, and other marginalized identities.
