The University of Florida Research Opportunity Seed Fund (ROSF) is accepting proposals for two-year awards of up to $100,000 to support innovative research collaborations across the University. As UF’s largest internal funding competition, the ROSF welcomes proposals from all disciplines and research areas, with particular emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches to research challenges.
The program’s primary goal is to foster new collaborations across UF colleges. Proposals must include at least one Co-PI from a college different from that of the PI, and project participants may not have previously worked together on a funded collaboration.
The competition proceeds through college-level down-selection followed by a University-wide review. Because each college may nominate a limited number of proposals and establish its own internal deadlines, interested faculty should contact their Associate Dean for Research for information about their college’s selection process and deadlines. Additional guidance is available on the ROSF website.
Deadline: Varies | Amount: Up to $100,000
