Meet the Team

Position Description
The Associate Director develops and implements procedures to maintain compliance with research grants and contracts, including: reviewing and processing agreements, ensuring the proper tracking and management of awarded funds, and ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions. The Associate Director also produces regular reports for senior leadership on grant funding and compliance, develops and implements administrative procedures to streamline processes and enhance efficiency, provides oversight of faculty grant effort commitments and allocations, and facilitates communication with core offices and provides support around complex issues.

Position Description
The Research Administration Manager supports the Associate Director in the oversight of the Post-Award office by coordinating and ensuring the smooth operation of the office through strategic planning, managing a complex research portfolio, and providing PIs with support in all aspects of post-award management. The Research Administration Manager provides training, support, and mentorship to the research administrators within the team; participates in committees related to research administration and policy development; and serves as liaison with core offices to facilitate communication around complex matters.

- The Research Administrator III provides support to the UF Lastinger Center for Learning’s sponsored projects and conference and foundation accounts. The Research Administrator III responsibilities also include managing budgets to ensure that expenditures align with funding source conditions, monitoring spending, and reconciling and preparing financial reports for faculty within their portfolio. The Research Administrator III provides guidance on allowable costs and other financial aspects of funding, reviews and monitors grant commitments, processes effort allocations, works with cost analysis to troubleshoot issues, and provides pre-award support as needed.

Additionally, the Research Administrator III provides guidance on allowable costs and other financial aspects of research funding, assists with sponsor reports, rebudgets grant funds, and processes no cost extensions.

The Research Administrator II also reconciles and prepares financial reports for faculty within their grant portfolio, provides guidance on allowable costs and other financial aspects of research funding, supports PIs in the submission of reports to sponsoring agencies, serves as liaison with core offices to resolve issues, and assists with no cost extensions and the rebudgeting of grant funds.

- The Research Administrator I provides transactional and processing support to all sponsored projects under the Post-Award umbrella, and assists with disbursements, research participant payments, all travel- and grant-related purchases.
