UF Research’s Office of Strategic Research Development recently hosted a Strategy Lunch and Learn to highlight early career funding opportunities and signature programs designed to support emerging researchers through prestigious, multi-year awards from both federal and non-federal agencies. Speakers reviewed major programs such as NSF CAREER, the DOE Office of Science Early Career Research Program, NIH K Awards, and young investigator initiatives from the Department of Defense, while emphasizing the importance of building relationships with program officers to better understand agency priorities. Researchers are encouraged to seek early feedback from prior awardees, study recent recipients who may later serve as reviewers, and develop strong broader impacts components through partnerships and campus resources. Additional support opportunities on campus include early career workshops in the College of Engineering, the Provost\u2019s calendar of private and foundation awards, and K\u201312 career development programs through the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
