The National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced several administrative updates for 2026 that may affect education researchers pursuing health-, behavioral-, or prevention-focused projects. NIH is aligning HIV\/AIDS application receipt dates with standard deadlines to streamline submission and review processes, while also directing applicants to use Grants.gov or the new Explore NIH Opportunities tool to locate funding opportunities. Additional resources include an updated How to Apply \u2013 Application Guide<\/a> reflecting recent policy changes and new insights from reviewers on the recently implemented Simplified Review Framework<\/a>, which now governs peer review for most competing research project grant applications.
