Program Overview<\/h2>\n

The University of Florida offers a Master of Arts in Education (M.A.E.) with a specialized focus on educational technology, providing a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field. This master’s in educational technology program requires 36 credits to complete and follows a hybrid format, with required campus-based courses complemented by online components. Students will complete 24 required core credits, 3 elective credits and 6 Thesis or Project in Lieu of Thesis credits.<\/span><\/p>\n

The GRE is not a requirement for admission.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program provides students with a unique opportunity to delve deeper into their research interests through a 6-credit Thesis or Project in Lieu of Thesis, culminating in a written document and presentation to their committee. Additionally, students have the option to pursue additional courses and earn graduate certificates<\/a>, enhancing their expertise in specific areas of educational technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most full-time students are able to complete the program in two years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students in our master’s in educational technology program have the opportunity to engage directly with faculty and peers on campus. This collaborative learning environment fosters community and networking opportunities. Additionally, some courses in our department are exclusively offered on campus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Composite mentoring<\/a> provides students with a well-rounded educational experience. As part of the program requirements, students will form a committee consisting of an advisor and one additional faculty member. These faculty members play a crucial role in guiding students through their academic journey, offering support and mentorship as they progress through the program.<\/span><\/p>\n
