Zoe Larson (Miss University of Florida, 2022) and family visited the ELTL to hear more about the innovative work that we undertake to support and listen to autistic people along with their ambitions for immersive technologies.  Nigel, the Director, assisted by Rebekah Johnson (ELTL member) provided an overview of the work we have engage with followed by some great discussions with Zoe’s family. As part of Zoe’s tenure as Miss UF she is keen to promote and advocate for autism and ways we can better engage with autistic communities.  We were also joined by Professor Ben Lok, who also has a track-record of research in the area of autism and technology.

We look forward to working with Zoe highlight the importance of community engagement and research with impact.  We thank Zoe and the Larson’s for their visit.
