Zoe Larson (Miss University of Florida, 2022<\/a>) and family visited the ELTL to hear more about the innovative work that we undertake to support and listen to autistic people along with\u00a0<\/span>their<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>ambitions for immersive technologies.\u00a0 Nigel, the Director, assisted by Rebekah Johnson (ELTL member) provided an overview of the work we have engage with followed by some great discussions with Zoe\u2019s family. As part of Zoe\u2019s tenure as Miss UF she is keen to promote and advocate for autism and ways we can better engage with autistic communities.\u00a0 We were also joined by Professor Ben Lok<\/a>, who also has a track-record of research in the area of autism and technology.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We look forward to working with Zoe highlight the importance of community engagement and research with impact.\u00a0 We thank Zoe and the Larson\u2019s for their visit.<\/p>\n
