The Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.).<\/strong> The Ph.D. is the highest degree any university \u2028confers. Students who enter the doctoral program in Curriculum &\u2028Instruction with a concentration in English Education work with a faculty adviser to\u2028 develop scholarship in language and literacy and to engage in professional research.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Program Highlights<\/span><\/h2>\n

Students meet with a faculty adviser and form a doctoral committee. Together they develop a course of study that reflects the student’s interests and professional goals while meeting requirements of the UF Graduate School and the College of Education. They must also meet the requirements of the School of Teaching and Learning with a focus on four core areas of knowledge:<\/p>\n
