<\/a> Special Education Ph.D. program that sits at the crossroads of special education, education policy, and literacy instruction and intervention. Scholars will take a deep dive into special education policymaking, addressing pressing special education and literacy issues by leveraging myriad data and analytic tools to connect results to public policy and make sound recommendations for policy change.<\/p>\nProject EASE scholars will work closely with faculty from the UF Education Policy Research Center and the UF Literacy Institute to develop three areas of expertise:
\n1) Special education legal and policy knowledge
\n2) Rigorous research methods to study policies and practices within special education and literacy
\n3) Effective teacher development methods to disseminate special education and literacy policy knowledge and recommendations<\/p>\n
Scholar Support:<\/strong>
\nFull tuition for 4 years
\n$33,500 per year for living expenses
\n$3,000 per year for conference travel
\n$1,000 per year for expenses (e.g., books)
\n$2,500 dissertation research support<\/p>\nProgram begins Fall 2022<\/strong>
