Research Biography

My research focuses on the design, development and evaluation of technology-based learning systems. I’m especially interested in how technology can be used to engage students who have traditionally faced disproportionate challenges in learning math and science. I am PI of the IES-funded National Education Research and Development Center Virtual Learning Lab as well as an IES-funded project to build math graphics literacy in students with visual impairments AnimalWatch Vi: Building Graphics Literacy.
