Dr. Purvis’ is a licensed psychologist and serves as the Practica Coordinator for the School Psychology Program. He specializes in the application of CBT w/ Exposure & Response Prevention, Solution-Focused Therapy, Affirmative Psychotherapy, and Functional Family Therapy. Dr. Purvis teaches courses in counseling, practicum, cultural diversity, and developmental psychopathology. Dr. Purvis serves as the principal investigator on an internal grant investigating the experiences of Black undergraduate students.
