His research lies at the intersection of the learning sciences, artificial intelligence, and learning technologies, with a focus on designing human-centered learning environments that assess and support learning in real time. Dr. Rahimi\u2019s work centers on helping learners develop durable skills, such as creativity, critical thinking, and persistence, alongside STEM learning. He designs and studies interactive learning environments, including educational games and AI-enabled platforms, using approaches such as Design-Based Research, Learning Experience Design, and stealth assessment informed by Evidence-Centered Design. These environments leverage AI to unobtrusively capture learning processes and provide adaptive, personalized support while prioritizing equity, learner experience, and responsible use of technology. Through this work, Dr. Rahimi aims to contribute to the development of learning systems that support adaptive learning across the lifespan, particularly in the context of emerging technologies in STEM. His work has been published in leading journals and presented internationally. He currently serves as an Associate Editor of Creativity Research Journal and as Chair of the Communications Committee for NCME.","video":"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/877917915\/9416de74c9","school":["school-4"],"affiliations":["dept-6","dept-8"],"primary_interests":[{"primary_interest":"resint-M-214"},{"primary_interest":"resint-H-041"},{"primary_interest":"resint-M-009"}],"research_interests":["resint-B-H-010","resint-H-031","resint-H-042","resint-G-049","resint-M-051","resint-M-071","resint-G-072","resint-G-086","resint-I-124","resint-H-148","resint-G-179","resint-I-194","resint-G-214","resint-G-218","resint-M-224","resint-M-225"],"education":[{"edu_or_cert":"Ph.D. in Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies, 2020Florida State University, Florida, USA."},{"edu_or_cert":"M.S. in Educational Measurement & Statistics, 2019Florida State University, Florida, USA."},{"edu_or_cert":"M.A. in Multimedia (e-learning technologies), 2011Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia."},{"edu_or_cert":"B.S. in Computer Engineering (Software), 2007Azad University (South Tehran Branch), Tehran, Iran."}],"pro_apps":[{"app":"Assistant Professor, Educational Technology, School of Teaching and Learning, College of Education, University of Florida, 2021 - Present"},{"app":"Postdoctoral Researcher, Educational Psychology & Learning Systems, College of Education, Florida State University, 2020 - 2021"}],"activities_and_honors":[{"activity":"B.
