2025 HDOSE Welcome Week Events
Join graduate students and faculty from across HDOSE programs for a series of social events to kickoff the 2025-26 academic year:
Orange and Blue Volleyball Game Meetup
Sunday, August 17th, 3PM; O’Connell Center
Join for this free volleyball scrimmage match and enjoy watching Gator athletics. HDOSE will meet up around Section 27 to watch the game.
UF Natural Area Evening Hike
Tuesday, August 19th, 6:30-7:00PM; UF Natural Area Boardwalk (Park at the Entomology Building or Phillips Center Garage)
Join for a leisurely evening hike through one of UF’s Natural Area trails. We will meet at the “Natural Park Entrance” (see red circle on linked map above) and take a 30 minute walk through a wetland and shrub habitat.
HDOSE Hallway Games
Thursday, August 21st, 12-2PM; HDOSE Hallway
Celebrate the first day of classes by visiting HDOSE faculty offices for a series of games. Look for mini-golf, corn-hole, puzzles, and more along the upstairs and downstairs HDOSE hallways. Play a game while saying hello to new faculty and students.
