Step 2: Supporting Application Material
When completing your online application to UF, you will be asked to upload your STATEMENT OF PURPOSE and RESUME. Please upload these items as PDF documents.
All additional Required HE Program Application Materials (see below) must be uploaded under the Other Upload section (label it HE Application Materials) after you have uploaded your resume. The writing sample should be saved and uploaded as a PDF document:

Résumé
Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.
Writing Sample – Three-page limit, double spaced, addressing the question: What should be the primary roles of higher education institutions in our society?

Step 3: Interview
Doctoral candidates may be invited to an interview following the preliminary approval of all application materials. Generally interviews are conducted with two to three faculty members in the program area. Interviews may be conducted by phone, via Zoom, or in person on-campus, depending upon the circumstances and needs of the candidate.
Please note that new Higher Education Ed.D. cohorts are only accepted every two years. As a result, applications for the Higher Education Ed.D program are only accepted every other year. Applications for admission to the next online Higher Education Ed.D. cohort will be available beginning January 15, 2023 and all application material must be receivedno later than July 1, 2025.The next cohort is expected to begin in January 2026.
Allow 2-4 weeks to gather all application materials, including official transcripts and letters of recommendation, as all materials are required for review and admission.
