We no longer require GRE scores to apply for our hybrid higher ed LEAD Ed.D. in higher education administration and policy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Future applicants should start updating their resumes and gathering materials like recommendation letters and official transcripts. The higher education hybrid Ed.D. program only admits new students every two years. Applications for the cohort beginning in January 2028 open on January 15, 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cohorts are only accepted every two years. Applications for the 2026 cohort have closed. Applications for the 2028 higher education hybrid Ed.D. cohort will be accepted beginning January 15, 2027, and <\/span>must be submitted by July 1, 2027<\/b>. After that, the next cohort starts in Spring 2030, and applications for that cohort will be accepted beginning January 15, 2029.<\/span><\/p>\n

Traditionally, classes in the blended Ed.D. are offered online with students attending two to three weekend meetings per semester. Class meetings change locations throughout the year and occur at the University of Florida and other colleges and universities in Florida. <\/span><\/p>\n

Our courses are dynamic. Most of our classes include synchronous and asynchronous content. Synchronous components are based on faculty pedagogical decisions around the topic, course sequencing, and student needs. There are videos of lectures and discussion boards between students and instructors about the readings and lectures. Between online interactions and weekend meetings, students get to know their cohort members and the faculty well, creating a support network that leads to their successful completion of the degree.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our program of study incorporates up to 15 hours of transfer credit from prior graduate coursework. Faculty advisors work with each student during their first year to identify previous graduate coursework that fits into the program of study.<\/span><\/p>\n
