Cohorts for the SPHE online M.Ed. begin at the start of each Fall semester. Applications are due by <\/span>March 1 <\/b>before the Fall you wish to start. Because of our holistic review process, applicants typically receive a final admissions decision <\/span>between April 15 and May 1<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our courses are dynamic in nature: no “discussion boards only” classes. Course content includes lecture recordings and interactive discussion boards focused on the readings and lectures. Most courses are asynchronous, meaning you can log on and view whenever works best for your schedule, while some courses have lectures held synchronously.<\/span><\/p>\n

While it is possible, we only accept transfer credit on a case-by-case basis \u2014 and only from other higher education or student affairs master’s programs. The limit is typically 6 credit hours if accepted, although it may be up to 9. All transfer credit requests must take place during the first semester of enrollment in the program.\u00a0<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Per university policy for transfer of credit for master’s degrees, only graduate-level (5000-7999) work with a grade of B or better is eligible for credit. These can include no more than 9 credits from UF-approved institutions. Credits transferred from other universities are applied toward the current degree’s requirements, but grades earned are not computed in the student’s UF grade point average. Acceptance of transfer of credit requires the approval of the student’s supervisory committee and the Dean of the Graduate School.<\/p>\n
