St. Augustine Record: College’s Lastinger Center training teachers to improve STEM learning

Sebastian Middle School leads the way for district with plans for flagship STEM Academy

The Lastinger Center for Learning is leading training workshops to prepare middle school teachers to infuse STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) into their lesson plans. It is part of the Lastinger Center’s effort to improve and certify STEM programs at schools. Susan Butler of the Lastinger Center is quoted saying that an increasing number of jobs in the new economy will require STEM skills.
