Carrie Geiger Named Next Director of P.K. Yonge

Dr. Geiger comes with more than 13 years of P.K. Yonge administration experience and more than 21 years of direct teaching experience in Alachua County Public Schools. She currently serves as the secondary school principal at P.K. Yonge, where she supports the school’s mission to design, test, and disseminate promising educational practices.

Lastinger Center for Learning funds four College of Education faculty projects

The University of Florida’s Lastinger Center for Learning has awarded $400,000 to four College of Education faculty research projects focused on improving teaching, learning, and childcare. These projects, selected through a competitive process, will leverage the Lastinger Center’s Data Lagoon to analyze statewide educational data and generate insights to enhance student outcomes.
