The University of Florida College of Education continues to enhance teaching and learning while setting new benchmarks for the state of Florida, ranking at No. 4 in the nation among the 2025 Best Public Graduate Education Schools by U.S. News & World Report.<\/p>\n

In addition to being recognized as the top-ranked education college in the state, UF has leaped ten spots among all education schools in the country \u2013 public and private \u2013 to No. 6 nationwide. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Specialty Area Rankings<\/h2>\n

In specialty rankings, both the Counseling and Special Education programs have maintained top-five designations for the third consecutive year, with the Counseling program remaining in the nation\u2019s top spot at No. 1. UF ranked in nearly all possible program categories, including Elementary Teacher Education (No. 14), Curriculum and Instruction (No. 21), Educational Administration (No. 23), Education Policy (No. 24) and Secondary Teacher Education (No.24). These specialty rankings were based on assessment from academic peers, acknowledging the school\u2019s notable reputation in the educational community.<\/p>\n

The College of Education is also a trailblazer among online graduate education programs, achieving one of the top two spots nationwide for the past decade due to a dynamic array of innovative online graduate degree offerings. Currently ranked at No. 2, the school\u2019s flexible online graduate programs provide effective, accessible options to prepare an exceptional education workforce and empower future leaders in teaching and learning.<\/p>\n

U.S. News created the 2025 Best Education Schools rankings by surveying 476 education schools granting doctoral degrees, with 267 responding with the data required to complete the survey. The assessed categories include research activity, quality assessment, faculty resources and student selectivity.<\/p>\n

A blend of innovative curriculum, forward-thinking faculty, effectively applied research funding and valuable, immersive student experiences have contributed to the college\u2019s success. The university\u2019s upward climb is unprecedented among other education colleges nationwide.<\/p>\n
