In an effort to create opportunities for research collaborations, the Lastinger Center is partnering with the College of Education\u2019s Office of Educational Research to fund four faculty projects.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis initiative exemplifies the power of cross-unit collaboration in tackling complex educational challenges,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/education.ufl.edu\/administration\/thomasenia-adams\/\">Thomasenia Adams<\/a>, associate dean for research and faculty development. \u201cBy aligning research expertise within the College of Education with the Center\u2019s strategic priorities, we will be able to generate insights that not only strengthen our scholarly impact but also directly inform practice in classrooms and communities.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;2_3,1_3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;||||false|false&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;3px||||false|false&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;2_3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.24.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The open competitive process invited UF College of Education faculty to submit project proposals that focus on improving teaching, learning, and childcare through data analysis. Proposals were reviewed for alignment to the Center\u2019s goals and current research efforts. The committee moved forward with funding four projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/education.ufl.edu\/faculty\/li-wei\/\"><strong>Wei Li, Ph.D.<\/strong><\/a>, School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in Education, <a href=\"https:\/\/education.ufl.edu\/eprc\/\">Education Policy Research Center<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Project:<\/strong> Designing quasi-experimental methodology parameters that evaluate casual impacts for future research and evaluation.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/education.ufl.edu\/faculty\/botelho-anthony-f\/\">Anthony Botelho, Ph.D.<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/education.ufl.edu\/faculty\/avery-harrison-closser\/\">Avery Closser, Ph.D.<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0School of Teaching and Learning, <a href=\"https:\/\/ialt.education.ufl.edu\/\">Institute of Advanced Learning Technologies<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Project:<\/strong> Exploring longitudinal patterns and impacts of teacher professional learning on student performance and outcomes in literacy and mathematics.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/education.ufl.edu\/faculty\/moore-rob\/\">Rob Moore, Ph.D.<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0School of Teaching and Learning, <a href=\"https:\/\/ialt.education.ufl.edu\/\">Institute of Advanced Learning Technologies<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Project:<\/strong> How teacher participation in professional learning affects student literacy outcomes.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/education.ufl.edu\/faculty\/leite-walter\/\">Walter Leite, Ph.D.<\/a>,<\/strong> School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in Education, <a href=\"https:\/\/ialt.education.ufl.edu\/\">Institute of Advanced Learning Technologies<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Project:<\/strong> Fostering positive reading experiences through New Worlds Reading family engagement resources.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243;
