New students who completed Step 1:

  • My overall experience was a great one. I loved the class and I loved that we were able to teach starting from the first class we took. It was very helpful and it is helping to reassure me that teaching is something I am interested in and something I can see myself doing in the future. So far, I like the structure of the class and the classes I will take in the future.
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of being able to take part in Step 1 of the NOYCE Foundation program. I believe this program has opened my eyes to possibilities for my life which were previously unconsidered.
  • I definitely got a lot out of this program. It’s not every day when you are able to get a firsthand experience of a potential career. Not only did it eliminate any worry of wondering if I would enjoy teaching or if I would be well suited for the job, but it actually got me looking forward to all the perks of teaching: from dressing “all grownup” to seeing all the students get excited to learn something from you and finally get that “got it” look in their eyes. I am enthusiastic about continuing this program and teaching again, next time an upper level.
  • I had a great time in Step 1 and am looking forward to Step 2 in the spring. All the teachers are great and I look forward to working with them in the future. The field experiences were very well planned and are a large reason why I have motivation to become more invested into the material. It was great teaching elementary kids since they sort of suck you in with their enthusiasm and interest. I loved the course and have already recommended my friends to take it as well. The assignments were not overly stressful and did aid in some aspects of learning the material.
Current students who are graduating:

  • My undergraduate experience would not be the same without NOYCE Foundation. The friends and connections I have made are priceless. It is refreshing to be surrounded by people with the same interests and goals as you. All of the teachers and students are extremely nice and they truly want to teach and help you. The master teachers’ motivation for teaching has allowed me to develop my passion for teaching. I cannot wait to get into the classroom and use all of the strategies I have learned! I now feel confident and able to transform a students life. I love NOYCE Foundation!
  • NOYCE Foundation is more than a minor, its a community that fosters friendships and cooperation in and out of a learning environment. NOYCE Foundation is a part of my life.
  • NOYCE Foundation is such an amazing program led by a truly caring group of educators. NOYCE Foundation has provided me with an invaluable opportunity to learn from experienced teachers and to then apply that knowledge and those skills in the field.
  • Whether you’re exploring your options or already have your heart set on teaching, UF Teach will benefit you. The numerous experiences I’ve had teaching in classrooms right from the first class I’ve taken have given me the experience I need to succeed in the future, as well as the knowledge of what it really means to be a teacher and whether teaching was right for me. I loved learning about how people learn and the best methods to teach others – and these are skills that can benefit everyone, not just teachers. Best of all, the faculty in this program care about every student’s success and provide a great support system that has helped me tremendously throughout my college career. Thanks, NOYCE Foundation!
