Mindfulness classes and mindfulness-based therapies provide the tools to put concepts of attention and acceptance into practice.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"479\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"479\">\n<p><strong>Headspace mobile app<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Headspace is a meditation app designed to help you live more mindfully. The app offers a wide range of meditations for beginners and experienced users that range from 3 to 20 minutes. In the app, you\u2019ll find stand-alone meditations for when you need a break and longer courses focused on deeper education into mindfulness. Examples of courses include learning the basics of mindfulness, coping with cravings, dealing with distractions, and better sleep.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table width=\"479\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"479\">\n<p><strong>Happify mobile app<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This app uses games to boost your mood. The activities were developed with positive psychology techniques and CBT interventions. The app lets you choose games to help you in different areas, including: coping with stress, fueling your career success, achieving mindfulness through meditation, conquering negative thoughts, building self-confidence<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<table width=\"479\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"479\">\n<p><strong>Insight timer mobile app<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a meditation app that features an extensive free meditation library. The easy-to-navigate app is good for beginners and great for advanced students of meditation. Insight Timer also has live events like yoga, mood tracking, private mentoring, and workshops available. Popular topics on the app are better relationships, focus and concentration, anxity and reducing stress, self love and compassion, leadership, and more. They can be quick strategies or longer, more formal exercises. helpful for many situations where you find yourself becoming overwhelmed or distracted by distressing memories, thoughts or feelings. They can reduce immediate distress and help promote calmness and self-regulation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ol style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\">\r\n \t<li>\r\n<div class=\"ContentPasted0\">Journaling: Journaling helps with disclosing emotions rather than stuffing them down, and forces us to organize our experiences into a sequence; looking back on previous journaling entries can confront us with our growth or stagnancy and can help us gain some distance from our experiences allowing us to understand them in new ways. Below are a few journaling prompts for youth:<\/div>\r\n<ol style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\">\r\n \t<li>\r\n<div class=\"ContentPasted0\">Identify one long term goal and three short term goals that support the long-term one.<\/div><\/li>\r\n \t<li>\r\n<div class=\"ContentPasted0\">Make a list of 15 things that you are grateful for (you can write more than 15 if you feel inspired!)<\/div><\/li>\r\n \t<li>\r\n<div class=\"ContentPasted0\">Write about an important person in your life who truly inspires you. What do you admire about this person, how have they influenced your life, and what would you like to tell them?<\/div><\/li>\r\n \t<li>\r\n<div class=\"ContentPasted0\">Describe a place (real or made up) that makes you (or would make you) feel genuinely safe, calm, and at peace.<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"ContentPasted0\"><\/div><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\r\n<div class=\"ContentPasted0\">Play a memory game: Look at a detailed photograph or picture (like a cityscape or other \u201cbusy\u201d scene) for 5 to 10 seconds. Then, turn the photograph face-down and recreate the photograph in your mind, in as much detail as possible. Or, you can mentally list all the things you remember from the picture.
