Please be sure all required application material is submitted by the posted deadline.

Additional Information

The computer science education program adheres to the admission guidelines set by our home department, the School of Teaching and Learning (STL). Please refer to their admission guidelines for all degrees and certificates for important deadlines.

Prepare the following materials

  • Send transcripts from each higher education institution to the University of Florida’s Office of Admissions, CODE 5812 if done online, or mail to PO Box 114000, 201 Criser Hall, Gainesville, FL  32611-4000.
  • Complete the University of Florida’s application for certificate programs and pay application fees.

Please note: UF requires that all applicants to graduate programs have at least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.

Note: Candidates interested in pursuing a Reading Endorsement need only submit a UF application form indicating post-baccalaureate admission. Please review the College of Education’s policy on post-baccalaureate admissions and enrollment below. No additional materials are required.

    Application Deadlines

    • All application materials for the program must be received before July 1 for the fall semester*. 
    • Allow 2-4 weeks to gather all application materials, including official transcripts and letters of recommendation, as all materials are required for review and admission.
