Our on-campus M.A.E. program prepares students to become experts in <\/span>research and evaluation methods<\/span> and the analysis of educational data. The M.A.E is designed for students who plan to continue on to a Ph.D. in research and evaluation methodology (or another field) and who value an in-person, traditional classroom course delivery method. The educational psychology and research specialization is part of our bachelor’s degree in education sciences. Our graduate minor provides a way for students outside our school to take research and evaluation methods courses, collaborate with a REM faculty member and have that faculty member serve as a member of their committee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students can choose a qualitative or quantitative focus. The quantitative focus provides a foundation in research methods, educational statistics and psychometrics. The qualitative focus provides background in epistemologies, research approaches, data collection and analysis methods suitable for qualitative inquiry.<\/span><\/p>\n
