Program Overview<\/h2>\n

The REM program prepares M.Ed. students to work on positions that require research design and analysis of educational data. The M.Ed. program requires a practicum experience instead of a master\u2019s thesis. M.Ed. graduates work in positions such as data analyst, data scientist, measurement specialist, and program evaluator. The M.Ed. program requires the completion of coursework in educational research methodology, educational statistics, and program evaluation, engaging students in collaborative projects with faculty, and providing opportunities for professional practice.<\/strong><\/p>\n

REM M.Ed. students meet with their advisers to develop a written program of work that includes required research methodology classes and electives. Most intermediate and advanced classes in the REM program required the completion of a research proposal.<\/p>\n
