Each of these degrees has different admission requirements; therefore, we encourage you to explore the information for your specific degree. The School of Teaching and Learning offers rolling admission, and applications are reviewed as they are received. Priority is given to applicants that apply before the posted application deadlines. Applying before the set deadline ensures that we are able to get you set for a successful semester.<\/p>\n

Application Deadlines<\/h2>\n

For Ph.D. Applicants<\/h3>\n

For PhD Applicants: To receive full consideration for Fellowships and Graduate Assistantships (see funding opportunities<\/a>), PhD applicants (international AND domestic) must apply by December 1<\/strong>. Please review these steps<\/a> to make sure you apply to the correct program and submit the correct materials. Fellowship and Graduate Assistantship awards begin in the Fall semester.<\/p>\n

PhD applicants may apply while their Master\u2019s degree is in progress but must have an earned Master\u2019s degree by the time they start the PhD program. Failure to show proof of Master\u2019s degree completion prior to the start of the PhD program will negate a positive admission decision.<\/p>\n

These awards are only available to PhD students and are not awarded for Spring or Summer admission.<\/p>\n

Funding decisions are made separately from admission decisions and funding awards are not announced until the end of March. Funding is extremely competitive and, due to limited resources, less than 10% of the Ph.D. students admitted receive funding.<\/p>\n

Following these directions carefully will help make sure your application is routed to the appropriate program.
