Applying for Masters Admission

Master of Education / Master of Arts Programs

Applicants who have been admitted to UF’s Graduate School previously need to submit the Application for Readmission. This application is submitted in hard copy, not electronically. All other requirements for admission are the same as those listed above for your intended degree and should be submitted in hard copy or emailed to contact-se@Coe.ufl.edu.

Applicants new to UF should submit the application for admission via the UF web site (http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/start.html).
Within the application system, you will indicate the program to which you are applying (e.g. special education; school psychology; early childhood).

If you want to have letters of recommendation sent electronically, you will need to provide email addresses for your recommenders. They will receive a link to a recommendation form that can be completed and returned to your application file. Hard copies of recommendations are also accepted. Recommenders can complete the recommendation form or write letters to be included in your file.
The statement of purpose can be composed in a separate document and pasted into the application.

Other documentation required for MEd applications
Request official transcripts from colleges/universities you have attended and have them sent to the Office of Admissions (P. O. Box 114000, 201 Criser Hall, Gainesville, FL 32611-4000, USA). If the original transcript is not in English, an English translation must also be provided.

Request official GRE scores be sent to UF (institution code 5812).
International applicants must submit official TOEFL, IELTS, or MELAB scores. Minimum scores required for admission are: TOEFL (computer): 213, TOEFL (Internet): 80, and TOEFL (paper based): 550; IELTS: 6, MELAB: 77.
