Hourly Student Support - The Anita Zucker Center
Description: The Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Florida is seeking an advanced undergraduate or graduate student to assist with activities for funded projects providing professional development to professionals who work with young children with or at risk for developmental disabilities. The professional development is focused on supporting professionals to partner with families to support their child’s development and learning. The student would assist with preparing materials for professional development workshops and meetings, data collection, data processing, and data entry.
This position includes training and ongoing supervision by a project coordinator and the project Principal Investigator. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in professional development, coaching, and instructional approaches in early childhood who would like to gain experience working on funded projects.
Requirements: The position requires flexibility to travel to schools and homes during times when children engage in typical classroom or home activities and routines.
Pay Rate: Students will be paid $12-$15/hour, depending on experience.
Hours: Availability for up to 20 hours per week is preferred. During data collection periods, hours may be scheduled Monday – Sunday between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, depending on research participant schedules and student availability.

Multi-Subject Tutor
Description: Gainesville family is offering an opportunity for students whose native language is English to assist a 13-year-old boy on the autism spectrum in reading/writing, math, science, or other 7th level classes as a tutor in person or online. BrightPath Tutors
Description: BrightPath is looking for college students to virtually tutor K-12 students from low-income backgrounds during Fall of 2021. From early September up until Thanksgiving, tutors will meet virtually and one-on-one with a K-12 student on a recurring basis. As a trained volunteer, you have the opportunity to serve as a role model and help a student make real academic gains in a time of need in our education system – right from your dorm!
BrightPath Tutors is a student-led 501(c)(3) originally founded on Vanderbilt’s campus with the mission of closing K-12 achievement gaps that were widened due to the pandemic through high-dosage tutoring. Personal Care Provider
Description: We are looking for a personal care provider to work with our 24 year old son Dave for 15 hrs/week.We are looking for someone who can help Dave with his homework at college level and help him stay focused; someone who has an understanding of working with someone with special needs/someone who is on the Autistic spectrum, has some language issues (receptive and expressive – processing) and who has a hard time dealing with more abstract concepts. We are looking for someone with patience and who is willing to work with Dave on developing social and independence skills.
Pay Rate: The pay is split between a government agency and us. Most likely it will be around $15/hr for 15 hrs a week… around 3 hrs daily at the house (timing to be negotiated – flexible).
Start Date: Ideally we would like to start with someone by August 20th, just prior to August 23rd, when college starts back up.
Requirements: The government agency requires a background check and some (minimal) initial training, we would pay for.

Each semester, my undergraduate research methods students undertake an original data collection research project focused on improving the justice system. This semester, we are examining police—community interactions by exploring perceptions of undergraduate students on campus police sponsored outreach events. The study has been approved by the UF IRB (IRB202100354) and my students plan to present their findings to UF police at the end of the semester. Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program
Description: The Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program Collaborative is a two-year conservation training program for undergraduates who are interested in careers in conservation and in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field. Scholars take part in applied field research projects (1st Summer – 2021), professional internships (2nd Summer – 2022), mentoring, and form strong professional networks that span the country (and beyond). Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowships
Description: The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program provides opportunities for doctoral candidates to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies. The program is designed to deepen research knowledge and increase the study of modern foreign languages, cultural engagement, and area studies not generally included in U.S. curricula.
Program Features: Students may request funding to support overseas research for a period of no less than six months and no more than 12 months. Funds support travel expenses to and from the residence of the fellow and the country or countries of research; maintenance and dependent allowances based on the location of research for the fellow and his or her dependent(s); an allowance for research-related expenses overseas; and health and accident insurance premiums. Projects may focus on one or more of the following geographic areas: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories).
Eligible Applicants: Institutions of higher education (IHEs) in the United States are eligible to apply for grants under this program. As part of the application process, eligible students submit their individual research narratives and application forms to their home IHE. UF IFAS Summer Internship with Cedar Key School K-12 Education
Description: This internship is intended to give undergraduate students at UF an opportunity for real-world experience in education and/or extension activities. Selected students will work alongside local K-12 youth from Cedar Key School. The hosts include UF/IFAS faculty as well as Cedar Key K-12 educators. Interns will participate in a summer wrap- up workshop where interns will summarize their experiences. This is a great opportunity for students to enhance their skill sets and explore career options in educational natural resource fields. This internship is open to current undergraduates from the College of Education, University of Florida.
Pay Rate: This internship is 240 paid work hours for a total of six weeks, and interns are paid $12.00 per hour for up to 40 hours a week.

Camp Laurel South Summer Camp
About Camp Laurel South: Camp Laurel South is located near Portland, Maine in the heart of the Sebago Lakes Region. Its 150 unspoiled acres include woodlands, sports fields and open lawns. It’s location in the southern part of Maine makes Laurel South a most inviting summer retreat for campers and counselors alike. Each summer, Laurel South operates two four-week programs with 400 boys and girls, ages 7 to 15 in each session. They come from all over the U.S. as well as several foreign countries. The return rate for both campers and staff is very high.
Description: Camp Laurel South is a residential summer camp in Maine seeking college athletes to be activity instructors and camp counselors for the summer of 2021. This is a great summer experience that can fulfill many internship requirements. We look for people with personality, character, maturity, professional training, experience and most importantly, a sincere desire to work with children. Our counselor to camper ratio is better than 1:3.

Florida Elks Summer Camp
Description: Florida Elks Youth Summer Camp is hiring staff members and camp counselors! This summer program will go from June 13th 2021 to August 7th 2021. By working here at camp, students become eligible to apply for the Van Duren scholarship. Students must continue working here to receive the scholarship. Awards are between $1,000 and $5,000 a year. We are a residential camp and staff stay here on property while campers are here. Campers are 9-13.
