SAGE: Academic Freedom Q&A

December 3, 2021 @ 12:00 pm

Student Alliance of Graduates in Education (SAGE) is hosting:

Academic Freedom Q&A – SAGE will be facilitating an academic freedom Q & A session. During this time, we will be answering your questions about how the recent news impacts you.

SAGE would like to let all Graduate students know we stand in support of your Academic Freedom. It is a challenging time to be a graduate student. We are regularly reading headlines covering academic freedom that may often leave us wondering – what does it mean for me – as a student, teaching assistant, and scholar? What exactly is happening? Will the news on academic freedom impact what I can research or publish?

These questions and more will be answered by Dr. Tina Smith-Bonahue (UF College of Education Associate Dean for Students Affairs and Graduate Studies). We encourage you to bring any questions you may have. Questions may be asked anonymously. SAGE will be hosting this event to provide an opportunity for students to have their questions answered.
