Why did you choose to come to UF’s College of Education?

My mom graduated from UF with her undergraduate degree in English and then received her Masters Degree in Secondary English Education. Education runs in my family, but I never thought in a million years that I would be a teacher, as well, until I started volunteering and soon working at a school in my area for individuals ages 5-25 with various disabilities.

What are you most excited for during your time at UF and the College of Ed? (This could be activity wise, or what you hope to learn/experience in your major)

During my time at UF, I am most excited about the various opportunities around the Gainesville area as well as the UF campus that are available for people in the college of education. I hope to become involved in the UF campus life and learn as much as possible at this amazing university in order to better enhance my community.

What do you hope to do career wise after graduation?

After graduation I hope to become a Special Education teacher. I am passionate about enriching the lives of people with disabilities and being an advocate for them.
