The ALIGN Project strengthens connections between higher education, industry, and learners by investigating how STEM microcredentials shape educational and career trajectories. Supported by the National Science Foundation and led by the University of Florida, this project engages students, educators, and employers to better understand how microcredentials can serve as flexible, credible pathways into the STEM workforce.

Publications
New book: Mapping the STEM Microcredential Landscape (Edited volumes)
The books will feature contributions from researchers, educators, and industry leaders across the globe. Topics include the design and implementation of microcredential frameworks, case studies from higher education and industry, technology innovations, workforce alignment, and future directions for scaling impact.
This project reflects the collaborative spirit of the C3 Ecosystem by showcasing diverse perspectives and advancing the field’s understanding of microcredentials. The volumes will be published by Springer in the Issues and Innovations in Instructional Technology series, publication expected early 2026.
